[Role Summary]
The Country Marketing Manager is responsible for defining
and executing the local marketing strategy in line with the global brand vision
and business objectives.
The role combines strategic marketing, trade marketing,
go-to-market execution, communication, and data-driven performance management,
working closely with the Country Manager, Sales teams, and Marketing HQ.
This position requires a strong hands-on approach and direct
ownership of sell-out performance, brand visibility, and local market
execution, ensuring global consistency while adapting to the specific dynamics
of the Korean market.
[Role Objective]
l
Drive business start-up and growth in the Korean
market, maximizing sell-out, brand awareness, and profitability.
l
Translate global strategy into effective local
execution, maintaining brand coherence while leveraging local opportunities.
l
Lead go-to-market activities, including product
launches, trade marketing initiatives, and communication plans.
l
Act as the key liaison between HQ and the local
market, providing insights, data, and strategic recommendations.
[Key Responsibilities]
Marketing Strategy & Planning
l
Define and execute the local marketing plan
aligned with global objectives.
l
Collaborate with the Country Manager on country
budget definition (revenue, margins, marketing and trade investments).
l
Monitor execution and KPIs, optimizing plans
based on performance.
Sales &
Trade Marketing Execution
l
Support the local sales strategy across all
channels (physical retail, e-commerce, marketplaces).
l
Identify growth opportunities and adapt trade
marketing initiatives to market trends.
l
Plan and locally execute go-to-market strategies
for new product launches.
l
Implement pricing strategies and help prevent
channel price conflicts.
l
Develop promotional plans by channel in
collaboration with Sales teams.
l
Manage the product portfolio by channel and key
accounts, ensuring coherent ranges and activities.
Communication,
PR & Digital
l
Balance global brand consistency with local
market needs.
l
Define and execute the local communication plan
in alignment with HQ.
l
Manage external agencies (PR, digital, social
media).
l
Oversee social media planning and content to
ensure consistent messaging.
l
Analyze campaign performance and optimize budget
allocation.
In-Store
Activities, Training & Trade Materials
l
Select and adapt HQ communication assets or
request new materials when needed.
l
Ensure an excellent in-store customer
experience, supporting sell-out.
l
Coordinate in-store activities, events,
promoters, and product training.
l
Manage category management activities at trade
level.
l
Define and track KPIs for in-store initiatives.
l
Manage marketplace and trade website content in
line with brand guidelines.
Data Analysis
& Performance Optimization
l
Analyze distribution, assortments, store grids,
sell-out, and stock levels.
l
Propose corrective actions in collaboration with
channel managers.
l
Use external and internal data to support sales
and marketing decisions.
l
Monitor competitors, market trends, and
positioning.
l
Track marketing expenses and sales
profitability.
Collaboration
with Marketing HQ
l
Support HQ in planning and executing product
launches and marketing initiatives.
l
Act as a bridge between HQ and the local market,
providing insights and feedback.
l
Contribute to business cases for new projects
(volumes, pricing, promotion, costs).
l
Support competitor benchmarking and strategic
recommendations.

Background in strategic and operational
marketing.
l
Experience in trade marketing, retail execution,
and go-to-market.
l
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical
skills.

Proven ability to manage external agencies.

Experience working in international
organizations.

Hands-on, results-oriented, and highly
autonomous.
Professional
Experience
l
7-10 years of experience in marketing roles at
country or regional level.
l
Background in consumer goods, preferably:
l
Beauty & Personal Care
l
Fashion, lifestyle, premium consumer brands
l
FMCG with strong brand and market focus
l
Proven experience with:
l
Omnichannel environments
l
Product launches
l
Competitive and fast-moving markets
l
Experience in the Korean market (or broader
Asian markets) is strongly preferred.
Languages
l
Fluent Korean (native or equivalent).
l
Fluent English for daily interaction with HQ.
