The Republic of Korea has a territory of100,363 km2 and it’s positioned in the Southern part of the korean peninsula in Northeast Asia.

The main historical tourist attractions in the Republic of Korea are surely the palace of the royal dynasty of Joseon (1392-1910), all located in central Seoul, the royal tombs of the Joseon Dynasty, spreaded in 18 different locations, the Hwaseong Fortress in Suwon and the Historical Area of Gyeongju, once the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla (57 a.C.-935). The main natural touristic attraction in the country is surely the volcanic island of Jeju, famous for its exceptional beauty and for being the biggest island of Korea. In the ancient times the island of Jeju was the place of the kingdom of Tamnaand still today shows unique cultural features distinguished from the mainland.

The Republic of Korea with a 2022 Projected Real GDP growth of 3.3% in 2022, is the fourth economic giantof Asia(behind China, India and Japan, which are countries much bigger than Korea both in terms of population and landsize) and the world’s 10th economic power.

The Republic of Korea hosted the G20 Summit and G20 Business Summit in 2010.
