The ITCCK Meeting with the Municipality of Piacenza and Confindustria Piacenza in Seoul

On December 18th, at High Street Italia in Seoul, ITCCK Secretary General Jacopo Giuman and International Business and Public Relations Manager Niko Plumari had the pleasure of meeting Katia Tarasconi, Mayor of Piacenza, and Giulia Silva, Head of Internationalisation at Confindustria Piacenza.

The recent mission of the Municipality of Piacenza to Korea, prompted by the inauguration of an exhibition showcasing masterpieces from Piacenza’s Ricci Oddi Modern Art Gallery, represented an important opportunity to further strengthen economic and institutional relations between South Korea and Italian local administrations. This cultural initiative also aligned closely with the outreach activities of Confindustria Piacenza in Seoul, creating a valuable occasion to connect institutional dialogue with concrete business opportunities.

During the meeting, which provided a constructive platform for discussion and exchange, ITCCK presented several ongoing and completed projects, with particular attention given to the growing interest of the Korean market in Made in Italy, especially in the consumer goods sector. Promising opportunities are also emerging in mechanics and manufacturing, sectors in which Italy and South Korea share high standards, advanced know-how, and strong industrial complementarities.

The meeting reaffirmed the importance of a coordinated approach to international promotion. By bringing together local institutions, business associations, and the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea, it is possible to create meaningful synergies that can serve as a solid foundation for future collaborations, positioning ITCCK as a strategic partner in fostering bilateral relations.
