On April 29, 2021 the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Korea successfully held a masterclass dedicated to the discovery and tasting of wines belonging to
the category of Orange Wines.
The event was organized at the Astor Suite of Lotte Hotel Seoul, where, in compliance with the regulations against Covid-19, more than twenty guests
gathered to take part in the tasting. The audience boasted prominent figures among influencers, sommeliers and importers, who had the chance to discuss and
ask questions to producers.
The event was introduced by Antonio Paoletti, President of the Chamber of Commerce Venezia Giulia Trieste Gorizia who, through Zoom, presented this region,
its features and typical products of its territory. Likewise, Professor Robi Jakomin, ONAV (National Organization of Wine Tasters), led the tasting session, describing the
properties and characteristics of the six wines.
The representatives of the invited wineries (Masut da Rive, Primosic, Draga, Škerk, Skerlj and Zidarich) introduced the history, the peculiarities and the traditions of
their products, accompanying the participants in a gastronomical journey to Venezia Giulia.
Wines were matched to authentic Italian cheese and ham, such as Montasio and Prosciutto di San Daniele DOP in order to exalt their distinctive characteristics.
The event was organized in the context of the True Italian Taste project - promoted and financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation
to strengthen the knowledge and the conscious consumption of 100% made in Italy products.
